Little Predator

A lot of the blog messages are about Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and even Hyena. These large predators are on top of any “safari-to-see-list”.

But among the many other interesting creatures are the small predators. Many of them are very shy and night active (Serval, Caracal, …). The only little predator to be seen regularly during the day is the Black-backed Jackal.

This species does scavenge and hunt. Especially the younger Thanda guests enjoy the occasional Jackal sighting.
