Keen eyesight!

As part of our series on sharing interesting facts about our wildlife this week’s ‘Weird & Wonderful Animal Fact’ is on Martial Eagles:

These beautiful birds of prey have remarkably keen eyesight (3.0–3.6 times human acuity). Due to this power, they can spot potential prey from a very great distance. Martial Eagles are the largest eagle in Africa and are the fifth heaviest (on average) eagle in the world.
